Receptree Terms of Service

1. Service and independence

Receptree is an independent photography platform built for Fujifilm photographers, including Recipes discovery and organization tools, browser-based Review workflows, Studio presentation tools, and related services. Features and availability may change as the service develops.

Receptree is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FUJIFILM Corporation. FUJIFILM and related product names are trademarks of their respective owners. References to those names are descriptive compatibility information only.

2. Accounts and acceptable use

You must be at least 16, or older where local law requires. You are responsible for accurate information, your credentials, and activity on your account.

Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or malicious content; scrape or automate access without permission; bypass security; interfere with the service; or use Receptree to violate another person’s rights.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of your content. For public content, you grant Novasas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and process it to operate and improve Receptree. For private content, this license is limited to providing, securing, and maintaining your private workspace.

You confirm that you have the required rights to content you submit. We may remove content or restrict accounts for violations, security risks, abuse, or legal requirements.

4. Review, local files, exports, and automated results

Review is a workflow tool, not a backup or archival service. Supported originals, previews, filenames, folder paths, EXIF data, ratings, picks, rejects, recognized settings, and face/eye analysis are processed locally in your browser unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise.

Browser storage, folder permissions, local sessions, previews, and unsaved decisions can be cleared, expire, become unavailable, or fail because of browser, device, operating-system, storage, permission, or software changes. Keep independent backups of all originals and important work.

Export copies files to a separately selected destination and is designed not to modify source originals. You must verify the destination, file count, filenames, readability, and backups before deleting, moving, formatting, or changing any source. Do not treat an export confirmation as proof that every copy is complete or suitable for archival use.

Recipe Recognition, Smart Assist, grouping, similarity, face/eye analysis, ratings, and other automated suggestions are estimates and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. You remain responsible for every selection, rejection, edit, export, and camera setting.

5. Paid plans and renewal

The price, currency, taxes, billing interval, included entitlement, and renewal terms shown immediately before checkout are authoritative. Stripe processes web payments; full card details are not stored by Receptree.

Monthly and yearly plans renew and are billed in advance until canceled. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. App-store purchases and cancellations are managed under the applicable store rules.

6. What “Lifetime” means

“Lifetime” is a one-time purchase of Premium access for the operating lifetime of the Receptree Premium web plan sold at checkout (“Service-Lifetime”). It does not mean your lifetime, the lifetime of a device or company, perpetual availability, or a guaranteed minimum service period.

The purchase covers the web-plan entitlement and features described at checkout as they evolve within that plan. Separate mobile or desktop apps, new products or tiers, paid add-ons, third-party services, and high-cost or usage-based features may be excluded or priced separately.

We may modify, replace, discontinue, or retire features or the plan for operational, security, legal, technical, or economic reasons. If mandatory law requires a remedy, refund, or other protection, that law applies.

7. Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers may have mandatory withdrawal or refund rights. EU/EEA consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts. If you expressly request immediate digital-service performance, the right may be reduced or lost only under the conditions required by applicable law.

You can submit an unambiguous withdrawal statement electronically at /legal/withdrawal or by emailing legal@novasas.ch. Payments are otherwise non-refundable except where mandatory law or the checkout terms require otherwise.

8. Availability, changes, and beta features

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, permanently compatible, or loss-free operation. Beta, recognition, browser file access, and camera bridge features may change or be withdrawn.

We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably required. Changes do not remove accrued mandatory rights.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Novasas is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost files, lost edits or selections, failed or incomplete exports, device or storage failure, or reliance on automated suggestions. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Where legally permitted, aggregate liability is limited to the higher of CHF 100 or the amount you paid Receptree in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
